A really interesting video has appeared on Youtube showing the aftermath of the earthquake in China on Friday.
It shows both the range of slope failures during the event and the degree of chaos in the aftermath of the earthquake. Meanwhile, Xinhua appears to not be reporting much from the earthquake zone now, but the most recent update suggests 81 fatalities. It is not yet clear how many of these were associated with landslides, but the balance of the images of the disaster suggests that most probably were.
