U.S. Geoblogger Tour 2011
Posted by Callan
These are the geobloggers that I was privileged enough to hang out with this last week, in chronological order:
Steve Gough of Riparian Rap:

Ed Adams of Geology Happens:

Evelyn Mervine of Georneys:

Alton Dooley of Updates From the Vertebrate Paleontology Lab:

Garry Hayes of Geotripper:

Geobloggers are good people. They blog because they like to share their enthusiasm for the geosciences, and this also makes them fun people to hang out with. I look forward to more visits with my new friends.

Callan Bentley is an assistant professor of geology at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia. Our picture is best because we are standing in front of a giant DINOSAUR!
No, our picture is best because there are REAL dinosaurs right at our feet!
Plus, we’re both wearing cool bandanas!
But the dinousaur is not just a dino. It is an armoured Panzerdinosaur.
… in any case, I am impressed by the miniature trucks in the top left corner of the sandbox of the first picture…
It was great having a chance to meet you, even though time was short. We’re home safe and sound. I’ll try to smile and not look so tired next time!
