Sharing #SciArt: #AGURocks, #DrawnToGeoscience, & #RhymeYourResearch
The goal was to not only showcase thee amazing ways of communicating science via art but to also show folks the creative process behind the creations; to pull back the curtain to hopefully lower the barrier(s) to entry for those who may have thought about scicomm via art but thought that it was too difficult/they didn’t have the talent.

…for this post, I’m taking off my AGU hat (mostly) and stepping into one of my other roles as storyteller and producer. I also work for the science storytelling organization The Story Collider, where scientists and non-scientists alike tell true, personal stories, live on stage. Er…or at least they used to.

How do you know when it’s gonna blow? Two years of USGS participation in the Siskiyou Science Festival
For the past two years, the USGS has sent scientists to the Siskiyou Science Festival, which is held yearly in the largest nearby population center, Mt. Shasta City. The Festival has been an excellent opportunity to interact with CalVO stakeholders and maintain relationships with the communities around the volcano.
The Plainspoken Scientist is the science communication blog of AGU’s Sharing Science program. With this blog, we wish to showcase creative and effective science communication via multiple mediums and modes.
