Watch your words: Geoscience jargon

A couple months ago we in the Sharing Science program started soliciting Sciwords – or words that meaning different things to different audiences. Inspired by Susan Joy Hassol and Richard C.J. Somerville, we wanted to created a geoscience-centric list of words with multiple meanings. We want to thank everyone who provided us with words. Because of your help, we now have our own list:
