the true meaning of life for a hydrogeologist….

I am on sabbatical with Thorsten Wagener’s group at University of Bristol, and on campus I stumbled upon this quote from Nelson Henderson (a farmer from Manitoba) which encapsulates what I have been thinking about groundwater sustainability for a number of years:
For me, as a hydrogeologist, I would re-write it to be something like:
As Myanmar (Burma) Hydrogeologist, I want clean and clear groundwater for public, it not harmful; whilst I see my well is discharging potable water to drink make me happy.
