Earth Hour This Saturday

This coming Saturday at 8:30pm local time, millions of people will turn off their lights for an hour. It’s called Earth Hour. The idea is to get people thinking about our planet. We waste a tremendous amount of energy everyday. If incandescent bulbs were outlawed tomorrow, you could shut down several coal fired power plants immediately! A Cosmic Point One Zero and Birthday Wishes to Darwin

The Hubble telescope is back, up and running, To celebrate, NASA released a cool picture. The galaxies here are 400 million light years away. They look like the number .10 no?? A Weekend To Remember

I love Science and History. So a weekend to do both is not something I would pass up easily. Living here in Huntsville, in North Alabama, means that I am surrounded by some of the top Earth Scientists in the World.
