Even more seepage at Attabad
The rate of seepage at the Attabad landslide is now increasing at a rapid rate, and a new seepage point emerged in the last 24 hours. This graph shows the seepage rate since the start of monitoring: The current rate of increase does pose the risk of a seepage-induced failure. Inflow to the landslide lake at Attabad
The lake at Attabad continues to fill quite rapidly, with the water level now rising at close to 1 metre per day, as this graph using Focus data shows: The remaining freeboard is now 15.5 metres. Accelerating rate of filling at the Attabad landslide in Hunza, Pakistan
The rate of inflow at the Attabad landslide has now started to increase appreciably as warming and snowmelt really get underway. New photograph of the spillway at Attabad
The Pamir Times today has some images of the spillway and dam at the landslide dam at Attabad, in Hunza, Pakistan.
