The water level and seepage at the Attabad landslide – graphs of the current situation

The landslide at Attabad has developed seepage
Late last week the landslide at Attabad started to develop some seepage. Over the last few days this has gradually increased in rate and is now measured at about 9.4 cubic feet per second (0.25 cubic metres per second). Another life lost at Attabad
Construction of the spillway at Attabad in northern Pakistan continues, but there is little doubt that the construction workers at the site, and indeed those walking over the dam to access the boat service, face considerable risks from rockfalls from the original landslide scar. Continuing works on the Attabad landslide
The National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan is posting daily updates on the situation with the Attabad landslide on its website here. The reports appear with a lag of about 4 days, but nonetheless provide a helpful insight into the rate of progress. The Attabad landslide – caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
News from the landslide site at Attabad is increasingly grim, despite the ongoing work to create a spillway. The Pamir Times has an excellent article here outlining the impact of the rapidly expanding lake. The latest news from the site of the Attabad landslide in Hunza, Pakistan, as relayed by the Pamir Times, is somewhat mixed.
