Originally from New England, I am currently a PhD student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My research aims to better understand how glacial ice flows under natural conditions, which supports accurate incorporation of ice sheet behavior into climate models. This is important for understanding the effects of ice sheet dynamics on glacial discharge, and therefore sea level change. I am passionate about promoting public understanding of the scientific process, and strive to make science more accessible. By doing so, I hope to support policy makers in enacting legislation that protects the environment.
