Sebastián Ruiz Pereira is a Biotech and PhD candidate in Geography doing mountain research in the Andes of Chile. His concern is mountain cryosphere and hydric resources in a changing environment.

Project Description:
Previous Earth Science comics have been developed for Northern Hemisphere audiences. A more local concept is hereby developed by Ruiz Pereira and painted by Martínez-Fadic in watercolor. The ‘Andean cryosphere research comic’ intends to transfer knowledge about routinary field research in the mountains to non-expert audiences, engaging with the overlapping cultural dimensions therein.
