Allison Holevoet
From the salt marshes of Rhode Island to the cold waters of Alaska, Allison’s research has taken her across the U.S. Allison now find herself as a graduate student at the University Allison’s research tests different growing strategies of red mangroves to maximize growth in a nursery before the trees are planted for restoration. Creating a connection between people and their environment through the lens of science is unique. Allison is looking forward to learning how to expand the boundaries of conservation to incorporate more science communication with local Caribbean communities in compelling ways.
