An interesting new rockslide video on Youtube
Posted by Dave Petley
A new landslide video has appeared on Youtube in the last few days, showing a small rockslide on the coast near to Padstow in Cornwall:
There is not much information about it other than a statement that it was captured by chance whilst out fishing. The quality of the video is unusually high, which means that the collapse event is very well recorded.

Dave Petley is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. His blog provides commentary and analysis of landslide events occurring worldwide, including the landslides themselves, latest research, and conferences and meetings.
Interesting videos like this one, are useful to discuss about early warning systems for rockfall problems…
The collapse process takes some time… but is it enough? There is small displacement clearly recognizable?
