The California Drought from Space
The animated GIF image below shows the snow pack on the Sierra on April 3 2013, and today April 2, 2015. Keep in mind that California was in serious drought even in 2013 but it’s a whole lot worse now.

Antares Launch To Be Visible To Millions This Week
Orbital will attempt to launch the Antares rocket from the NASA Wallops Island facility Wednesday at 5 PM. The location of the launch means that millions will have the chance of seeing something that is usually only visible to those in Florida, or near Vandenberg AFB in California. February Is A Good Month To Check Out The Night Sky
Although the asteroid near miss this month will not be easily visible, there are some great things to see in the night sky. NASA JPL has started producing some videos on what to see, and I will start sharing them here as well!
