Tracy Becker
Dr. Tracy Becker is a planetary scientist at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, TX. She studies asteroids, rings, and moons in the solar system at ultraviolet wavelengths using data from the Hubble Space Telescope and the Cassini spacecraft. Dr. Becker is a part of the science team for the upcoming NASA mission Europa Clipper that will study Jupiter’s icy moon, Europa. She is also a part of the management team of the Arecibo Observatory. She serves as the science advisor for NASA’s Center for Lunar and Asteroid Surface Science’s educational material for public engagement and has also orchestrated numerous hands-on science events for students and professional training courses for teachers.
