Magali_Nehemy

Magali Nehemy is a forest hydrologist and PhD Candidate at the University of Saskatchewan. Before coming to Canada, Magali worked in her home country of Brazil in forest restoration and sustainability. Over the past three years, her research has focused on tree water use and the interaction between forests and water resources. Magali is also a recipient of the Horton Research Grant awarded to PhD scholars by the Hydrology Session of the AGU. Aside from her own research, Magali was a science mentor for the ‘Students on the Beamlines’ at the Canadian Light Source, and organized the TEDxUniversityofSaskachewan. She enjoys time spent outdoors hiking and fishing.
