Laura Queen
Laura Queen is a climate scientist at the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute and a PhD student at Victoria University of Wellington. Inspired by her experiences with river flooding and wildfires in the Pacific Northwest, she studies the effect of climate change on past and future extreme weather events. She worked as a tutor and teaching assistant for hundreds of her peers as an undergraduate and is eager to continue developing her science communication skills. Before starting her PhD studies, Laura earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Oregon’s Robert D Clark Honors College.
