Heidi Steltzer, PhD, mountain and arctic scientist, explorer, science storyteller. Heidi studies how environmental changes affect mountain watersheds and Arctic ecosystems and their link to our well-being. Heidi is an Associate Professor in Biology at Fort Lewis College and on the Board of Directors for the Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies, Silverton, CO. She has spent 24 years conducting field studies on mountain hillslopes in Colorado, and in tundra and treeline watersheds in Greenland and Alaska.
