Sarah Lamm
Sarah Lamm is a PhD student in geology at the University of Kansas. Since 2013, she has held over 50 successful science communication events for more than 2,500 participants. Because of this work Lamm was selected as a 2019 Mars Generation 24 Under 24 Leader in STEAM & Space, and the 2020 Kansas State University Student Science Communication Award winner. In addition to her outreach, she was a team member on NASA’s Curiosity Rover and worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for three summers (2016-2018). She also interned at NASA JPL in 2021 using machine learning to classify different types of spectra of iron minerals to improve the identification of these minerals during space missions. Lamm graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 as a triple major with Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry, Geology, and Geography. Then graduated again from Kansas State University in 2021 with a Masters of Science in Geology.
