Bailey Fitzgerald is a PhD student at Ohio State University. She studies ocean mud, underwater landslides, and earthquakes. She is also a participant in FanQuakes, which is a project that uses seismometers to measure the seismicity of Big Ten football stadiums during games. Science communication is important her because communicating science is vital for ensuring a safe and well informed society.
