On 10 March 2022 a rainfall-triggered urban landslide killed four people, and injured another individual in Malaysia. Google Earth imagery suggests that this landslide may have occurred on an engineered slope.

A large urban landslide at Morro da Oficina, triggered by heavy rainfall in Petrópolis, Brazil, inundated at least 80 houses.

Tijuana: a major landslide has destroyed 70 houses.

Last week a major landslide badly damaged the community of Lomas del Rubi in Tijuana in Mexico, destroying 70 houses. A new housing subdivision is under construction at the foot of the slope. There are suspicions that this may have been the trigger.
