Updates to AGU’s Honors and Recognition program
Nominations for medals, awards, prizes, fellows and section awards open today, 18 January, and are being accepted through 1 April. The AGU Board approved several changes to the Fellows program to align the nomination process more closely with AGU’s values. The AGU Honors and Recognition Committee also made updates to the honors program to better showcase the depth and breadth of our community’s achievements around the world.

Announcing the 2021 Bridge Program Partners
The AGU Bridge Program seeks to increase diversity in the geosciences by providing students from historically marginalized populations who are looking to pursue a master’s degree or Ph.D. with a network of peers, mentors and advisers to support and serve them before, during and after graduate school.

Congratulations to the #AGU21 travel grants winners
AGU has awarded travel grants and fellowships to 239 early career professionals and students from around the world. These grants and fellowships will offset the costs of Fall Meeting-related expenses, whether incurred in-person or virtually.

AGU LANDInG awarded NSF grant to provide professional development to Postdoctoral Fellows
We are excited to announce the launch of AGU LANDInG-PRFP (Leadership Academy and Network for Diversity and Inclusion in the Geosciences-Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program), an initiative to provide professional development in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and related scientific skills to postdoctoral scholars.
