Fall Color From the Terra Satellite

Nice shot of the peak fall color in the Adirondack’s from the true color MODIS on the Terra satellite. Some pretty cirrus as well, but can you spot the jet contrails??

Fall Colors Are Peaking 10 Days Later Than the early 1980’s

The fall colors in America are peaking over 10 days later now than 30 years ago. How can you determine such a subjective thing as when fall colors are peaking?
