Teachers: Want a Nature/Science Subscription For Your Class?

Oceanographer Robert Grumbine who writes More Grumbine Science is offering to pay for a subscription to Science or Nature for a high school science class, if the teacher will incorporate it into the curriculum. Dan Satterfield has worked as an on air meteorologist for 32 years in Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama. Forecasting weather is Dan's job, but all of Earth Science is his passion. Earlier commenter mentioned the importance of having some guidance for teachers on how to use the materials in classroom settings. Comments are still open (will remain open) at my place for ideas. I may start adding some myself.

Thanks for the generous offer. I’m very close to finishing certification in 6-12 Earth and Space Science, Environmental Science, and Biology, as well as being equally close to completion of my Master’s in curriculum and Instruction. As a new teacher, any assistance is greatly appreciated. As joyful and rewarding as the career can be, my biggest complaint is the general lack of resources offered to new teachers.
