Evening Light On Chincoteague Bay
Posted by Dan Satterfield
Just thought I’d share 60 seconds of video from Saturday evening here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It’s from Chincoteague Bay, near Snow Hill, Maryland tonight. What is it about a quiet wind blowing across a large expanse of water, that calms the soul of we humans. Is it something deep in our DNA that is left over from when our ancient ancestors lived there lives in that great ocean?
“The Sea! Alas! I have not yet beheld it. But deep in the hearts of all my kindred lies the sea-longing, which it is perilous to stir. Alas! for the gulls. No peace shall I have again under beech or under elm.” — Legolas
