The folks at the Large Hadron Collider have put together a project that uses idle home computers, to simulate particle collisions, in an effort to learn more about the fundamental particles the make up our world. Starry Starry Phytoplankton

Landsat 7 took this image of phytoplankton around Gotland Island (Sweden) in the Baltic Sea. If this doesn’t remind you of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting then you have zero imagination.
