Kathy Kelsey
Kathy Kelsey is an environmental scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alaska Anchorage. With focuses in vegetation ecology and terrestrial biogeochemistry, Kathy’s research investigates how climate change affects ecosystems in Western North America, how and why the effects of climate change vary from place to place, and the potential for local scale changes to have impacts at a global scale. In addition to research, Kathy is also active in efforts to make the power of scientific information accessible and pertinent to all. Kathy is a year-round bike commuter, and in her spare time enjoys exploring the beautiful landscape around Anchorage.
