I am a PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego, under an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. My research focuses on extreme weather and water events, namely atmospheric rivers, and implications for safety, water resources, and the economy. In addition to hydrometeorology-focused opportunities, I pursue science communication and policy experiences. Most recently, I served as a Scripps delegate for the UN Climate Change Convention. It is important to me to help empower younger students, and share the possibilities of STEM with disadvantaged and marginalized communities. I enjoy adventuring in nature, writing poems, and helping others.
