I am currently a PhD candidate in the Earth Science Department at UCSB. Originally hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, I received my Geology B.S. from UMKC and moved to California in 2011, where I then earned my Geology M.S. from Fresno State. My research interests include computer modeling of magma mixing and assimilation in active volcanic systems using the Magma Chamber Simulator. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, figure skating, watching stand-up comedy, and conducting non-scientific trials to determine the best type of pizza.
