I am a biologist with the Geological Survey of Alabama researching restoration opportunities for watersheds harboring aquatic species of concern. I manage social media relations for the Alabama Rivers and Streams Network, and I am currently an outdoors columnist for Southeast Farm Press. I work part-time on my family’s cattle ranch in Maplesville, Alabama. I graduated from Auburn University in 2007 with B.S. degrees in Agricultural Communications and Wildlife Sciences. I am currently a PhD candidate in Biology at the University of Alabama. My dissertation focuses on burrowing crayfish habitat and behavior in the Black Belt Prairie of Alabama.
