Megan Johnson

Megan Johnson is a PhD student in the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering department at North Carolina State University, where she studies wildland fire impacts on air quality and human health. She has previously worked for the Bureau of Air Quality at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON, Inc.). Megan earned her B.S. in environmental engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.S. in atmospheric science from the University of Nevada, Reno. Beyond her academic interests, Megan enjoys the outdoors through cycling, hiking, and skiing.
