Angela Marusiak

Angela Marusiak grew up in New Jersey and always loved science. From 2009-2013, she majored in geophysics and planetary sciences and minored in mechanical engineering at Boston University. After graduation, Angela worked for Columbia University, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory with the borehole group. In 2015 she started her graduate studies at the University of Maryland. Her work examines how seismometers could be used in planetary exploration. Specifically, Angela works with the NASA InSight mission to study the size and state of the Martian Core. As part of her NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship (NESSF), she performs analog fieldwork for ocean-world exploration.
