Leila Joyce Seals
Leila M. Joyce Seals is a geoarchaeologist, women in STEM blogger, and science communicator. Currently a geoarchaeology PhD Candidate at the University of Kansas, Leila shares her passion for people, landscapes, and the intersection of the two by blogging about the lives of women geoscientists (www.BlogoftheLadyGeos.com), working with The Geology Project (https://www.facebook.com/thegeologyproject), and doing outreach in eastern Kansas. She loves to ‘talk science’ with everyone: scientists, rideshare drivers, grocery cashiers, anyone who seems remotely interested. Leila’s goal with science communication is to increase geoscience literacy so people can evaluate information for themselves.
