Katja Luxem

Katja Luxem is a graduate student in the Department of Geosciences at Princeton University. Her thesis research is investigating the mystery of why there are three versions of one of the most important proteins on the planet, the protein that turns atmospheric nitrogen gas into nitrogen fertilizer. As a science policy fellow with the Princeton Environmental Institute, she is also embarking on a yearlong project to test how the presentation of scientific information influences whether it is used for public policy. In her spare time, Katja enjoys hiking, swimming and playing board games with friends.
