“Dani Weissman is a science communication specialist at the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service’s Office of Habitat Conservation. She works to promote public support of habitat conservation in coastal areas of the United States and its territories. Dani holds a BA in environmental earth science with a focus in geology from Johns Hopkins University. In 2020, she earned a PhD in agroecology at the University of Maryland. This past year, she completed a NOAA Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship.
In her free time, Dani enjoys birding, hiking, backpacking, knitting, playing the fiddle, and photography.”
