Stephanie Spera is a physical geographer, Assistant Professor of Geography and Environment at the University of Richmond, and co-host of the How We Got Here climate-change careers podcast. Stephanie studies landscape-level human-environment interactions using remote-sensing, GIS, and regional climate models. Currently, her work is focussed on understanding tradeoffs between forest cover and ecosystem services in the Southwestern Amazon, but she also focuses on landscapes ranging from the Brazilian Cerrado to Acadia National Park, Maine to Richmond, Virginia.
