Cheyanne Koran is an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation. She is a graduate student at UW-Madison in the Geoscience program. She recently graduated from UW-Milwaukee with degrees in Conservation and Environmental Science, Geology, and Biology. Her research interests include paleoecology, paleoclimate, traditional ecological knowledge, and environmental justice in Indigenous communities. She has had the privilege to study and research a wide variety of topics. As a result, she became very passionate about sharing opportunities with other Indigenous students. Cheyanne hopes to gain skills to help me reach Indigenous communities and encourage them to explore STEM.
