Friday fold: monastery brick

Schists that formed and folded in the Caledonian orogeny 490- to 390-million years ago. This is a “brick” in the wall of a monastery in Ireland. Maitri‘s husband’s most-uncooperative index finger approximates the hinge line. Here’s the Flickr page this came from, with Maitri’s permission.
