…because the rest of the cross-country road trip went fine, but the food poisoning at the end of it didn’t. Once I’m off the lovely drugs and can think straight again, I’ll put something with more substance up. In the meantime, here are some more photos from the road:
A wind farm west of Amarillo, Texas
Finally made it to New Mexico!
Heading toward the Sangre de Cristo moutains
Precambrian gneiss of the Sangre de Cristo (these are supposed to have lots of quartz veins and diabase dikes, but it's hard to tell from a car)
More Precambrian gneiss
Stone fish in Santa Fe. (No mica fish, unfortunately!)
Frijoles Canyon in Bandelier National Monument. (Volcanic rocks at last!)
Well-hidden cliff dwellings in Bandelier
Oh no! Feel better, Jessica!
I’m getting there! Good thing I didn’t really start work until this week…
