progressive loading of the structure.\u00a0 This is a very interesting process that is perhaps surprisingly poorly studied.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J8O1KVA_lrk\">So, a new video that has appeared on Youtube is very welcome<\/a>.\u00a0 There is very little information on the website about this event other than that it occurred in Thailand.\u00a0 The landslide appears to be a large earthflow.\u00a0 The relentless way in which the landslide loads the building is quite interesting.<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J8O1KVA_lrk<\/p>\n<p>At the start, the building is clearly being loaded at the rear, and the top portion is starting to shear:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a leading to failure of the columns at the front of the building, which then topples forward:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
