(Very pleasing graphic from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kuenselonline.com\/modules.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=10554\"><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Kuensel<\/span> Online<\/a> below to illustrate the event:)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/files\/2010\/10\/08_06-Bhutan-boulder.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px auto 10px;text-align: center;cursor: pointer\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/files\/2010\/10\/08_06-Bhutan-boulder.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>11<sup><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">th<\/span><\/sup> June 2008: <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Mogok<\/span>, Myanmar: Torrential rains caused a landslide that killed 30 miners in <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Mogok<\/span>, military-ruled <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Myanmar&#8217;s<\/span> &#8220;Valley of Rubies&#8221; gem zone.<span> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">14<sup><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">th<\/span><\/sup> June 2008: A <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Mw<\/span>=6.8 earthquake triggered landslides that killed at least 12 people (Reuters image below of the Inn at <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Komanoyu<\/span> hot springs hotel in <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Kurihara<\/span> that was hit by a landslide.
