{"id":6038,"date":"2013-02-25T08:40:51","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T08:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?p=6038"},"modified":"2013-02-25T08:46:23","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T08:46:23","slug":"rockfalls-shaking-a-volcanic-lava-dome-apart-including-a-dramatic-rockfall-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2013\/02\/25\/rockfalls-shaking-a-volcanic-lava-dome-apart-including-a-dramatic-rockfall-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Rockfalls shaking a volcanic lava dome apart (including a dramatic video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>James Reynolds is a video maker based in Hong Kong who specializes in collecting<a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthuncut.tv\/\"> footage of extreme natural hazard events<\/a>.\u00a0 In the last few days he has been in Indonesia filming the ongoing volcanic event that is affecting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.volcano.si.edu\/world\/volcano.cfm?vnum=0604-15=\">Paluweh Volcano in Indonesia<\/a>.\u00a0 This volcano is currently undergoing a phase of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.volcano.si.edu\/reports\/usgs\/#paluweh\">lava dome growth<\/a>, which over the last few weeks has also been accompanied by eruption events that have generated ash plumes,\u00a0 As is usually the case, this is accompanied by regular seismic events.\u00a0 During his visit to the volcano James caught this amazing footage of the lava dome being shaken by these seismic events, generating rockfalls across he whole of the mass.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Extreme Volcanic Earthquakes Shaking Lava Dome Apart\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3foeTjsFesY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
