sliding initiated on the interface between the embankment gravel and the underlying clay.<\/p>\n<p>The railway line was rebuilt and remains in use today; the accident spurred the development of the field of geotechnics in Sweden.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 1 October 1918 a train was derailed by a landslide at Get\u00e5 in Sweden.
