{"id":35526,"date":"2020-11-13T08:07:30","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T08:07:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?p=35526"},"modified":"2020-11-13T08:09:19","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T08:09:19","slug":"quang-nam-province","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2020\/11\/13\/quang-nam-province\/","title":{"rendered":"Quang Nam Province: A video that shows why the aftermath of a landslide can be very dangerous"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Quang Nam Province: A video that shows why the aftermath of a landslide can be very dangerous<\/h4>\n<p>Further heavy rainfall is triggering landslides in <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?s=vietnam&amp;submit.x=0&amp;submit.y=0&amp;mswhere=blog\">Vietnam<\/a>.\u00a0 Unfortunately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/hurricane\/west-pacific\/vamco-2020\">Typhoon Vamco<\/a> is likely to make landfall over the weekend, bringing further rainfall into <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2020\/10\/29\/typhoon-molave-1\/\">areas that are already saturated<\/a>.\u00a0 Substantial problems are likely.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, the ongoing landslides, triggered in initially by the succession of recent typhoons, are having a major impact.\u00a0 This is clearly illustrated by a frightening video of a <a href=\"https:\/\/e.vnexpress.net\/news\/video\/landslides-continue-to-wreak-havoc-in-central-vietnam-4190583.html\">small but nonetheless deadly landslide<\/a> from Quang Nam Province, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iTS7VSsXyTM\">which has been posted to Youtube<\/a>:-<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Huge landslide in Quang Nam Province caught on camera\/ S\u1ea1t l\u1edf \u0111\u1ea5t kinh ho\u00e0ng t\u1ea1i Qu\u1ea3ng Nam\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iTS7VSsXyTM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
