{"id":3540,"date":"2011-08-09T07:14:36","date_gmt":"2011-08-09T07:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?p=3540"},"modified":"2011-08-09T07:14:36","modified_gmt":"2011-08-09T07:14:36","slug":"two-new-landslide-videos-including-an-amazing-pulsing-debris-flow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2011\/08\/09\/two-new-landslide-videos-including-an-amazing-pulsing-debris-flow\/","title":{"rendered":"Two new landslide videos &#8211; including an amazing pulsing debris flow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another two landslide videos have popped up &#8211; and both are fascinating.\u00a0 First, former <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dur.ac.uk\/ihrr\/\">Durham<\/a> student Georgie Bennett captured this multi-stage landslide near to Merano in Italy on 2nd August:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Landslide, behind Parcines, nr Merano, August 2011\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jt6h6Y9Fpj4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fortunately no-one was killed.\u00a0 Note the weather &#8211; fine and sunny &#8211; so no obvious trigger.<\/p>\n<p>Second, the <a href=\"http:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/2011\/08\/09\/video-debris-flow-at-talis-village-of-ghangche-disrict-baltistan\/\">Pamir Times<\/a> has today posted this video of a very large debris flow in Talis village, Ghangche District, in the Baltistan region of northern Pakistan.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EcYtZlahBNg\">Youtube page<\/a> notes that &#8220;At least 60 houses were destroyed by the debris flow disaster that hit Talis village of Ghangche District, in Baltistan region.
