{"id":33111,"date":"2020-02-20T07:26:02","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T07:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?p=33111"},"modified":"2020-02-20T07:26:02","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T07:26:02","slug":"hardin-county-landslide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2020\/02\/20\/hardin-county-landslide\/","title":{"rendered":"Hardin County: a dramatic landslide in Tennessee"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Hardin County: a dramatic landslide in Tennessee<\/h4>\n<p>On Saturday 15 February 2020 a dramatic landslide occurred in the Chalk Bluff area of Hardin County in <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?s=tennessee&amp;submit.x=0&amp;submit.y=0&amp;mswhere=blog\">Tennessee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?s=usa&amp;submit.x=0&amp;submit.y=0&amp;mswhere=blog\">USA<\/a>. As the site is located on the outside of a gentle bend in the river, enhanced erosion would be expected.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eu.jacksonsun.com\/story\/news\/2020\/02\/18\/hardin-county-tennessee-landslide-cuts-off-neighbors-businesses\/4794700002\/\">The Jackson Sun<\/a> has some more detail about the landslide.\u00a0 One of the houses, which were built in the 1990s, has been unoccupied, but the other was in daily use.
