Used with permission.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>So, interestingly, this was a two phase failure event.\u00a0 Newcrest, the mining company responsible, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/business\/companies\/newcrest-confirms-tailings-solution-for-cadia-gold-operation-20180423-p4zb85.html\">are now storing their tailings at another site in the old Cadia Hill open pit mine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Reference<\/h4>\n<p>Planet Team (2017).
