{"id":21756,"date":"2017-02-20T08:30:04","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T08:30:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/?p=21756"},"modified":"2017-02-20T08:31:15","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T08:31:15","slug":"san-bernadino-national-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.agu.org\/landslideblog\/2017\/02\/20\/san-bernadino-national-forest\/","title":{"rendered":"New landslide videos: San Bernadino National Forest, La Paz and the Big Sur"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>San Bernadino National Forest landslide video<\/h5>\n<p>One of a number of new landslide videos that have been published in the last few days comes from\u00a0San Bernadino National Forest in Southern California, triggered by the latest in a procession of intense rainfall events in recent weeks.\u00a0 This is a very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ijDz5_BrlMY\">impressive video<\/a> of a large landslide in the Forest Falls area.\u00a0 In many ways the most interesting aspect is the high energy mobilisation of the flow in the valley below the landslide, which was just caught by the person making the film:-<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ijDz5_BrlMY<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>Another, I think earlier, movement event of this landslide in San Bernardino National Forest was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PuKrTika32o\">captured from a helicopter by Fox11<\/a>.\u00a0 They report that this area is known as Slide Canyon:-<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2.17.17 - FOX11 10AM - Forest Falls Rock Slide\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PuKrTika32o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
