Is Fall Meeting a marathon? Yes, in more ways than one…

I’ve been coming to AGU meetings, on and off, over the last 30 years, starting from the days it was held at the Jack Tarr and Golden Gateway hotels, through its venture at the Civic Center, to, now, at Moscone. At the AGU Fall Meeting, there’s a lot of walking between sessions, meetings, around the exhibit hall, etc. And I’ve always wondered how many miles I walk.

I’ve finally gotten geeky enough to own–and use–a really accurate pedometer. And I was extremely eager to finally get the answer. My excitement was stoked by the announcement of the first AGU 5K Fun Run/1-Mile Walk.
