Oh, why not.

The draft Special Climate Assesment Report is here. The NY Times published the leaked report and it’s not good news. I plan on reading the whole thing this weekend, but the Executive Summary at the top will give you the take home points. The short of it is that climate change is already having a significant impact on our weather in the U.S. Perhaps most notable is the increase in heavy precipitation events. (Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland we had 3.5 inches near Salisbury and St. Michaels in Talbot County had 4.5″. Radar indicates some areas had over 6. This is just the latest in a summer of extreme precipitation events.

There have been rumors that the scientists who put together the report leaked it over fears that the administration would water down the findings. I’ve obtained a confession from the leaker of this report:
