A Conversation With An Amazing Science Writer at The AGU in San Francisco

I had a nice long chat with my friend Bob Henson at the AGU meeting in San Francisco last Thursday. Bob is an amazing science writer who is leaving NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) after 25 years, and will be blogging for Weather Underground starting in a few weeks. He will be sorely missed at NCAR, but I’m very happy that his excellent writing will be seen by even more people. Bob is the author of the Rough Guide to Weather, and one of the best books out there for a general audience on climate change (it would make a great holiday gift). He also wrote a great book on the history of TV weather, and I’m not saying that just because I’m in it!

Interestingly, Bob grew up across the street from my wife in Oklahoma City, and she has known him much longer than I have! I did a short interview with him via iPhone and you can see it below.
